my sweet husband and day 1 on the blog challenge

Hello everyone! (if there is even anyone reading this....ugh awkward) Today was a pretty stressful day. First I had to wake up 2 hours before school to go print off my paper/project and work on what I was going to present in class today. After school and cheer I rushed home to get ready to teach my first official aerobics class all by myself!!! (I had a nightmare last night that the stereo wouldn't work and my feet were sticking to the floor so I couldn't do the routines...luckily it was only a dream!) I got the best workout ever!!! I loved teaching too! There was great energy and a lot of people there today, so thanks to all those who came and supported!! To those who didn't.... i better see you on WEDNESDAY @ 545 pm. (haha jk.....kinda)
AnYwAy!!!! This is what I came home to
aren't I the LUCKIEST girl in the WHOLE world!? I def think so!!!

Okay also.. I have been reading all these 30 day blog challenge things. And to be honest I prob won't be able to do one every single day, I will do my best to finish as quick as possible!!

Day 1: Your name and 5 things that no one really knows about you-

My name is Amber Collette Swarbrick (yep.. it is Swarbrick now!! haha I LOVE saying that)

1- I have NEVER been a partier. 99.99999% of the time I would much rather be at home relaxing with the people I love than going to a party. To be honest, it is a chore for me to go to parties.. I just am not comfortable having people I do not know in my personal space haha

2- I cannot dance. Yes I can do a cheer dance, and I can do aerobics (which is very different than letting loose and dancing).. but I cannot dance to save my life!! This is probably one of the reasons I hate going to parties (dance parties that is) because I know I will look so stupid if I try and "Busta Move" or "get Jiggy Wit it".

3- I am really really really good at crying. When I cry it is usually for 45 seconds or so, I just give myself about a minute to let everything out... and I feel much better (and if it is in front of someone, like my husband, must lamer) after I let it all out.

4- I have no desire to do anything for work besides teaching aerobics and coaching cheer/gymnastics. I wish I could be the CEO and President of the national aerobics getting people in shape and keeping yourself in shape committee, and have the title of QUEEN of cheerleading: why it is one of the greatest sports on earth! Sometimes I wonder why I am even going to school... prob because my dad will kill me if I don't graduate haha. Oh well, I LOVE the classes I am taking right now (besides math ha.)

5- I think about the ones who i love and have passed away more than you'll ever know. Not a day goes by that I don't think about my best friend. I cry in the shower probably once a week about it. But I am so grateful for the times I had with her and them and for the people who I love so much and are still here.

OH HALLOWEEN WEEKEND

Halloween is a pretty cool holiday. Lets be honest, for one whole day you get to be dressed up as someone your not (or someone you secretly are haha)
Jordan was gone for a basketball game in Denver Friday and most of Saturday night. I really missed him! On Friday I got to hang out with my fam a little. My dad, summer, her two friends, and I went to eat at the new restaurant in Riverwoods. I cannot remember the name.. something like Marleys maybe??? It was the Harley burger joint. It was pretty good. After going to dinner we all stopped at Boarders to check and see if they had a movie I needed to watch for school. (and they did!!! dont you love when that happens??)

So we went back home and watched Mr. Hollands Opus! If any of you haven't seen it, you need to change that ASAP! It is a great great great family film!
I decided to be a big girl and come back to my little apartment to sleep all alone :( To be honest I thought I was going to sleep pretty good. I thought it was going to be nice to have a king sized bed all to myself! To be able to fall asleep to a movie instead of staring at the darkness while listening to Jordan snore. I was excited to sleep in as late as I wanted, and not lay half awake in bed in the morning debating on weather to be a nice wife and make Jordan breakfast (but really fall asleep while I am making a list of the pros and cons to that idea ha)... yes, I was going to have a great night sleep!!! And boy did I need it!! BUT guess what!!!!
I SLEPT HORRIBLE!! I couldn't fall asleep, and when I did I woke up every 2-3 hours reaching over to see if my husband was there. I watched about 5 episodes of Jon and Kate plus 8 on Hulu throughout the night (yes.. I had to keep turning it on because I was scared sleeping alone) and I woke up around 9 am and couldn't go back to sleep.

This is how I felt the whole next day...

Saturday I ended up cleaning for 2 hours (to get ready for a little housewarming/halloween get together with some of our friends the next day). I went grocery shopping and watched all the kids get ready for Halloween. Jordan was suppose to be home by 8 pm, but his flight took longer than expected and he walked through the door around 930 that night. I was so excited to see him. We decided to go over to my parents house for a little bit, and wanted to dress up. Here are our outfits:

Yup, we were nerds haha

Jordan and I really are a little nerdy. But it was so much fun to dress up for 10 minutes haha. When we went over to my parents we decided to go "trick or treating" at the door. Tyson answered and he honestly did not recognize us. All he said was "you can take two..." referring to the bucket of candy he was holding. I started rummaging through the candy (playing along) and then lunged at Tyson and scared the crap out of him!!! It was SOOOOOO funny!!!

The next day we had a few friends over for some soup, caramel apples, and games. We had a blast!! It was so much fun finally showing a few of our friends our nice basement apartment! I made taco soup, and everyone made their own carmel apples. We had a lot of fun. We also got to watch the giants game! (woot woot!!) Our friends decided to make a "remix of a little excited" video I posted earlier. (The one where Jordan is super excited the giants won... and I secretly filmed him haha) I will have to put the new video up once I upload it. SUPER FUNNY!!
We then played 2 games of Catch Phrase! (girls vs. boys.) and I must say the girls DOMINATED!! haha. Technically we tied with 1-1. But the girls won by a lot more points than the boys did!! I have not laughed that hard in a long time!! Let me explain to you how amazing us girls are at this game. Here is a real example of what happened:

The time was running out!! It started beeping faster and faster. Stephanie Snow was up and had to explain the phrase "drop the chalupa" (What the Freak!! Hardest phrase ever???? Not for AMBER) here is the conversations
Stephanie: ok.. it is something you would order at Taco bell!
Amber: NACHO CHEESE CHALUPA!!
Stephanie: Only the last word, then add to the beginning "if it were to fall from your hand to the ground."
Amber: Drop the Chalupa?!?!
Stephanie: YES!!!!!!!
Girls win!!!!!!! hahahaha

BEST GAME EVER INVENTED!!!! Hope you had a great weekend!! If you aren't doing anything this Wed, come and support the UVU bball team as the have a scrimmage at 7pm! Pre Season starts Nov 12!! GO WOLVERINES!!

But I guess it is okay.. Because in just a few weeks I get to go watch his first game as his WIFE!! YAY!!

But I need a few ideas, ideas on what to do while he is CONSTANTLY gone!! I have already done 2 loads of laundry today, cleaned the kitchen, and watched the BYU game. I don't wanna cook because UVU feeds Jordan after practice, and so all that food will only go in MY stomach.
HELP!! What are some fun ideas to make the time pass by!! Not just for Saturdays, but for (soon to happen) 4 day road trips too! Lemme know! Thanks!

oh... and here are some AWESOME pics of my cute hubby when he was a tad bit younger ;-) hahaha

I was so excited to dress up with Jordan and have a fun night out with our friends, but he will be gone with his basketball team at a tournament. So if you are bored on halloween night, just come stop by my parents house... Ill prob be handing out candy all night :(

It has been 1 day, and i freaking hate basketball season already :(

So as the title to this post says.... IT HAS BEEN 1 DAY AND I FREAKING HATE BASKETBALL SEASON!!!!! My husband left me today at 4pm to practice.

This is my sad face because I have been without him for so long!
It is now 9:30 and he just barely walked through the door. Before he left, he mentioned he would probably be home around 8...
This is what I did today:
- I did a private for tumbling :)
- Did a little bit of homework... ok fine, I tried to figure out my stupid excel sheet and thats as far as I got.
- Went grocery shopping
- Came home and SLAVED over dinner (ok not really.. but I still cooked)
- Watched The Holiday (my favorite movie!), and Big Mama's House
This is my sad face while watching 2 movies by myself

- Then I ate the amazing dinner I made ALONE :(
I made my delicious spaghetti and garlic bread (yes i completely stuffed my face when 9 pm rolled around and I couldn't wait any longer to eat!!)
- Then I cleaned the kitchen and waiting for my better half to come home.......
AND GUESS WHAT!!!!!!

HE FINALLY CAME HOME!!!!

Oh how I have a rude awakening coming my way. Since Jord and I have met we have been apart only 1 day!!! I don't know what I am going to do when he has week long road trips.
But for now, I am just going to enjoy all the time I do get to spend with him!! Love you Mr. Swarbrick!
