...

Today I went to the Urgent Care Facility cause I got really sick last night. I'm talking about can't lay down, stand up, sit down, or move cause of the pain. (Pain in my Kidney) I finally fell asleep at 7am and got a few hours of sleep before we decided we needed to make sure this wasn't a kidney infection.
Well, the diagnosis was either ruptured cyst on the ovaries, or kidney stones. (I am hoping for the first...) I am doing better so far, but hubby knew what would make me super happy........

Some Ben & Jerry's half baked ice cream :)

ps- does the movie "Pay It Forward" always make you wanna change the world too?

1 Year Anniversary

A few weeks ago Jordan and I were able to celebrate our 1 year anniversary!! (Please tell me this means we can finally get past the question "Awww. Hows married life?!?!") Anyway, let's just say I didn't know I was married to such a romantic person!! Jordan had it all planned out, and I had NO idea :) That little stinker. And even though it didn't go as smoothly as he had planned, everything worked out great!

Jordan went to go get a rent-a-car cause we don't have one down here in PA. And what was suppose to take only 30 minutes ended up taking almost 2 and 1/2 hours. Jords credit card had just expired and they wouldn't take debit cards. So I had to find a ride down to the rental place and bring mine, then mine didn't work cause it said "FELSTED" on it, not SWARBRICK haha. After waiting for FOREVER, they finally let us get it with our debit cards. While we were getting our car we had a worker come check to make sure we wrote down all the scratches and stuff. He tried to make small talk and said "So... Why are you guys heading to New York?" Apparently Jordan had to write down where we were taking the car haha... I looked at Jordan and said "WE ARE GOING TO NEW YORK!?!?!" The poor guy felt so bad for ruining the surprise. And we all had a good laugh about it.

Jordan and I quickly came home, packed our bags, and headed out the door... and by the time we were carrying are stuff to the car a Tornado Warning came in. It was POURING rain like I have never seen it before haha.

The drive from Marietta, PA to New York City was suppose to take 2 and a half hours...... we were in the car for 5 hours. Traffic was TERRIBLE. And when we were only 4 miles away we had been at a stand still for 45 mins. Jordan looked at me and said "We have got to make a decision, I have tickets on hold from some guy to go see a broadway, but I don't know if we are going to make it." I wanted to go to a broadway SOOOO bad, and I was determined to make it on time ha.

Well things finally picked up and we were able to quickly get the tickets, go to our hotel, drop our stuff off, change, and walk to the broadway with just minutes to spare. (And we had such a blast!!)

We stayed at the Empire Hotel for the night and the next morning went and got breakfast and walked around central park for a few hours. We had such a great time walking around, people watching, and even getting to see the Chess Champion play agains 28 other people!!!! Crazy huh?

We had such a great time in New York! It was such a great surprise for our anniversary. Sadly we had to drive to Baltimore cause I was catching a plane home the next morning. We ended up splurging some more and Jordan took me to go eat dinner at MORTON'S (only the greatest restaurant EVER!) And had the most AMAZING meal!!! (Why do I love food so much?)

Anyway- it was a great weekend, and after such a romantic surprise I was sad to leave my husband for a week... I am just grateful we were able to get away for a few days cause I really haven't gotten to do anything this summer with him cause he works 24/7.

Love you Jordan!!! And I can't wait for all the years to come :)

my love/hate relationship with...

I have a love/hate relationship when it comes to finishing a book. I love when I feel the accomplishment of finishing it, of getting "lost" in a good book, and learning something new. But I also hate when I finish a good book (or even worse, a great series.) I hate when suddenly the story STOPS. I just want the book to keep going and going, maybe because I usually feel like I am apart of the book. Anyway, I just finished the book "The Help", and am looking for another great book to read. I want to get at least 2-3 more books in before schools starts. Can anyone help me? What are some of your favorite books you've read?

PA update

Well I have been a terrible blogger. What have we been up to lately?? Well first we got stuck in a tornado. There is a little pizza place right next to where we live and we were eating dinner there one night. All of a sudden rain, lightning, and thunder came!!! (seriously within like 5 seconds..) and we had to run home. I have never seen so much rain! Our apt. got struck by lightning, the fire alarms went off, we had to evacuate the building and go stay at Jared and Amy's for a bit while the FIRE DEPARTMENT came and got everything situated. CRAZY!!!

here is what we looked like after running home- literally felt like we had jumped into a pool with all our clothes on

We have been swimming a lot- luckily the boys came with us one day.

No child was hurt while taking these photos :)

Jordan and I went on a hike with another couple down here

(biking shirt- thats why there is a reflecting light ha)

And we had a fun weekend full of 4th of July celebrations!!!

Jared, Amy, and the kids :) What a beautiful family!

I have never seen someone so excited to light off fireworks. It was all he could talk about for 3 days!!!

And celebrated Jareds b-day. Amy made the most DELISH cake ever!!!! She is a great cook.

Well- that is the catch-up. I will be heading to Lake Powell on Sunday!!! I am so excited!! Although I wish my husband was coming :(

Not a Very Happy 4th of July

Sorry for my Debbie Downer attitude today- I am just a little upset. Remember that nightmare trip we took to Cabo a few months ago? And we spent $4,000 in Medical bills?? Well we can just keep adding to that....While we were in Cabo Jordan fell on a sea urchin while surfing. His hand has still been hurting so we finally took him to the docs today (down here in Lancaster, PA) and got an x-ray. He has 4 "spines" from the sea urchin still inside his hand and he needs to get them surgically removed by a hand specialist.... GGGRRRREEEEAAAATTTTT......
So Jordan again will be going to the hospital when we get back to Utah for some hand surgery :(
Oh and I forgot to mention- his (sucky) insurance copay thing is $2,500. So even though he has insurance we will be paying AT LEAST $2,500 to get his hand fixed.

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY! haha
