1 Year Anniversary

A few weeks ago Jordan and I were able to celebrate our 1 year anniversary!! (Please tell me this means we can finally get past the question "Awww. Hows married life?!?!") Anyway, let's just say I didn't know I was married to such a romantic person!! Jordan had it all planned out, and I had NO idea :) That little stinker. And even though it didn't go as smoothly as he had planned, everything worked out great!

Jordan went to go get a rent-a-car cause we don't have one down here in PA. And what was suppose to take only 30 minutes ended up taking almost 2 and 1/2 hours. Jords credit card had just expired and they wouldn't take debit cards. So I had to find a ride down to the rental place and bring mine, then mine didn't work cause it said "FELSTED" on it, not SWARBRICK haha. After waiting for FOREVER, they finally let us get it with our debit cards. While we were getting our car we had a worker come check to make sure we wrote down all the scratches and stuff. He tried to make small talk and said "So... Why are you guys heading to New York?" Apparently Jordan had to write down where we were taking the car haha... I looked at Jordan and said "WE ARE GOING TO NEW YORK!?!?!" The poor guy felt so bad for ruining the surprise. And we all had a good laugh about it.

Jordan and I quickly came home, packed our bags, and headed out the door... and by the time we were carrying are stuff to the car a Tornado Warning came in. It was POURING rain like I have never seen it before haha.

The drive from Marietta, PA to New York City was suppose to take 2 and a half hours...... we were in the car for 5 hours. Traffic was TERRIBLE. And when we were only 4 miles away we had been at a stand still for 45 mins. Jordan looked at me and said "We have got to make a decision, I have tickets on hold from some guy to go see a broadway, but I don't know if we are going to make it." I wanted to go to a broadway SOOOO bad, and I was determined to make it on time ha.

Well things finally picked up and we were able to quickly get the tickets, go to our hotel, drop our stuff off, change, and walk to the broadway with just minutes to spare. (And we had such a blast!!)

We stayed at the Empire Hotel for the night and the next morning went and got breakfast and walked around central park for a few hours. We had such a great time walking around, people watching, and even getting to see the Chess Champion play agains 28 other people!!!! Crazy huh?

We had such a great time in New York! It was such a great surprise for our anniversary. Sadly we had to drive to Baltimore cause I was catching a plane home the next morning. We ended up splurging some more and Jordan took me to go eat dinner at MORTON'S (only the greatest restaurant EVER!) And had the most AMAZING meal!!! (Why do I love food so much?)

Anyway- it was a great weekend, and after such a romantic surprise I was sad to leave my husband for a week... I am just grateful we were able to get away for a few days cause I really haven't gotten to do anything this summer with him cause he works 24/7.

Love you Jordan!!! And I can't wait for all the years to come :)
